Julien's Auction house has Jayne Mansfield's leopard print gown up for auction. There are many photographs of Jayne wearing this stunning full length gown during her European publicity tour.
Although this LOOKS like the dress it is not the one. This was a 20th Century Fox dress used exclusively for Jayne. The actual dress has 20th Century Fox Labels sewn in the lining by the zipper. One says 20Th Century Fox Wardrobe Department, the second label would Say Jayne Mansfield, the third would have a serial #. All of these items were property of Fox and Jayne didnt get to keep them. There definitely WOULD NOT be a SLOPPY HANDWRITTEN Name just scribbled in the lining of the dress. I know who the owner of the dress is, he lives in Massachussets and owns MANY Celebrity dresses that he loans for tours around the country. I called him, and he still owns the dress. DON't WASTE YOUR BUCKS JULIEN"S has become a shit auction house like all the rest. They are just out to make a buck.
