44 Years on

It has been 44 years since the death of Jayne Mansfield. I find that I miss her more and more as time goes on. I really wish that I was around when she was. I would have loved to have gone to see her movies in the cinema's and to have seen her live in her Broadway play 'Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter'. Not only that but I really would have loved to have seen what kind of a mature aged woman she would have grown into. I think she would have been like Mae West, still shinning, singing and acting and doing her live shows long into old age. She once said that she'd still be doing pin ups at 100, and that I believe. I wish she was still with us. Her presence is still here. She lives on in her movies, photographs, TV shorts and all her wonderful and wacky publicity she did but not only that she lives on in the lives of her five children and the grandchildren which she sadly never had the pleasure to meet. I think she would have been a very proud woman had she lived. In fact, I think that she's sitting up in heaven with a smile on her face as proud as anyone could be.

We miss you Jayne and We live to love you more each day. Tonight I look up at the brightest star in the sky and think of you.

Love Ashley
