44 Years on

It has been 44 years since the death of Jayne Mansfield. I find that I miss her more and more as time goes on. I really wish that I was around when she was. I would have loved to have gone to see her movies in the cinema's and to have seen her live in her Broadway play 'Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter'. Not only that but I really would have loved to have seen what kind of a mature aged woman she would have grown into. I think she would have been like Mae West, still shinning, singing and acting and doing her live shows long into old age. She once said that she'd still be doing pin ups at 100, and that I believe. I wish she was still with us. Her presence is still here. She lives on in her movies, photographs, TV shorts and all her wonderful and wacky publicity she did but not only that she lives on in the lives of her five children and the grandchildren which she sadly never had the pleasure to meet. I think she would have been a very proud woman had she lived. In fact, I think that she's sitting up in heaven with a smile on her face as proud as anyone could be.

We miss you Jayne and We live to love you more each day. Tonight I look up at the brightest star in the sky and think of you.

Love Ashley

Robert posed his dolls personally in the photo section on one of the Jayne facebook pages. Here; http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jayne-Mansfield/10687050291#!/pages/Jayne-Mansfield/10687050291?sk=photos

LITTLE THINGS MEAN A LOT....Vintage Jayne Mansfield Advertisements

I love finding little rarities of Jaynie's face promoting a product of some sort. Here are a few I have found myself.

Order form for the take home version of the risky Promises Promises staring Jayne Mansfield on an 8mm 100 foot film reel. Ive seen the item it's self float around ebay and a few other antique movie stores and usually has a price of between $70 and $100 today.

Jayne happily posing with a bicycle was used in a 1950's catalogue for Rollfast.

A small advertisement for Jayne Mansfield herself during the run of her hit Broadway play 'Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter'.

After Jayne Mansfield had the interior of her car done by Cabell Auto Parts Co they used an image of the happy costumer enjoying the results in their advertisements.

Advertisement for Jayne's own personal line of Jayne Mansfield Hot Water Bottles... These lovely dolls are pretty easy to come by today. A good price to get one is for around $40 although others do sell for a lot more, some even being more than $100. I recommend holding out for a good price. They do pop up often.

Blondex the shampo for blondes used the stunning Jayne for advertisements in the 1950's.

Movieland magazine used an image of Jayne showing off her lovely pins in an advertisement for their annual legs contest in 1956.

Jayne Mansfield advertisement for her spectacular show at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas.

Jayne was more than happy to do promotion work for Winfield China. Doesn't she just look divoon. I sure would have loved to have been invited to one of Jayne's dinner parties.

Another advertisement for Promises Promises and Jayne's famous nude scene.

Order form for the life size Jayne Mansfield pin up poster... These posters come up every so often for auction and can be pretty pricey, but still would be a lovely item to have framed on the wall.

Jayne and Jayne Marie pose for publicity photos with Temco Aircraft Corporation's new jet trainer 'Pinto'.

Jayne Mansfield in the News

Find Jayne Mansfield photos along with Marilyn Monroe one's and it gets a crap load of news coverage.

But find rare Jayne Mansfield photo's on their own and the news barely even flinches for it.... POOR JAYNIE, she deserves so much better than that.

This photo of Jayne Mansfield in a British pub was discovered last year but never reached as much news coverage as the top image.

Jaynie's Pink Palace is now on blogger

If you have come across this page than you are no doubt a Jayne Mansfield fan and have probably seen my tumblr page. I have decided to create this blog to share not only photos but also text stories of Jayne Mansfield. I want to start by introducing myself. My name is Ashley, but I am sometimes known as Dollbaby around the web. I am 21 years old, live in Australia and I am a huge Jayne Mansfield fan. I first became intrigued by her when I was about 15 and saw an article of her in a magazine, but it wasn't until recently (in the last year) that Ive been collecting Jayne items and photographs. I am also a big fan of Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and Marlon Brando but this site is purely about Jayne. I am starting on another site that's none Jayne related if you are interested.

This blog is purely for fun and to share what I know about Jayne and rare photos of her with her other wonderful fans.

Lots of love
Dollbaby
