Nude Vera Jayne

Jayne Mansfield, pre-fame, poses nude for a Hawaiian cake mix company. At the time this image was used in a convention, after her image appeared in the convention Jayne got an offer to pose nude for an all female art class, something she was all too happy to do. This image was originally black and white however Playboy magazine colorized the image  in 1960 for a pictorial. To see more from the pictorial click on the image above.

Jayne Mansfield Featured in New Book - 100 Years of UCLA

A new coffee table book featuring many historic images of the UCLA campus has a lovely image of Jayne Mansfield.

According to one Los Angeles Times article;

One giggle-inducing shot shows voluptuous movie star Jayne Mansfield smooching legendary basketball coach John Wooden at the 1962 Mardi Gras. Ever the stickler for propriety, Wooden is pointing to the distance where, reportedly, his wife Nell watched on.

Jayne participated in the USO Christmas Tours three times in her life. She loved doing them, and the soldiers loved her. She was also close friends with Bob Hope, and he only ever had lovely things to say about Jayne. Well, I did say I would update you on when the Rock Hunter dress sells. So here it is folks. Jayne's dress sold for $4,750 plus of course a large buyers premium.

Jayne Mansfield in Cannes

I have hundreds of rare images of Jayne in tiny tiny form. The reason being because they are from archival sites. The archive sites sell their images and don't want them to just be taken for free, so they either display the photos really really tiny or they cake the image in large logos. I do understand why they do this. I just wish we didn't have to pay to see historic photos. I have also noticed that there are a few sellers on ebay who purchase the images from the archive sites, and then once they have them nice and clear and in high quality, they make prints and sell them on ebay. Which of course is highly illegal, but I don't really care because once they are posted on ebay we usually get to see the same photos in much better quality than the tiny winnie sized images direct from the archive site.
